Fitzgibbon/Sigerson

Neither UCC or MTU managements inspire any confidence amongst any knowledgeable people I’ve spoken to.
Billy was top notch in his day but at this stage you would really ask is it good for him to be on sidelines? I don’t think he has been able to be involved much this year with UCC. The college need to be doing much better than what they have been and not just relying on talent.
MTU won’t have their best Sigerson team possible on the field for various reasons. Beat Donegal so they’re safe from relegation but they’ll struggle against any top team.

Fitzgibbon might be a good platform for one or two possible future Cork seniors, beat UCD today, only 5 non Cork on the 20 used
UCC: (Cork clubs unless stated):
P O’Sullivan (Fr O’Neills);
S Daly (Randal Óg), C Doolan (St Finbarr’s), T Wilk (Cobh);
J Dwyer (Ballincollig), E Twomey (St Finbarr’s), M Mullaney (Stradbally, Waterford);
B Keating (Ballincollig), D Stakelum (Thurles Sarsfields, Tipperary);
D Flynn (Ballygiblin), B Cunningham (St Finbarr’s), E Stokes (Doon, Limerick);
W Buckley (St Finbarr’s), F Coleman (Blackrock), P McGarry (St Mary’s Clonmel, Tipperary).
SUBS: E O’Leary (Glen Rovers) for McGarry (38 mins); D Cremin (Midleton) for Stokes (47); R McEvoy (Lisdowney, Kilkenny) for Wilk (53); E Guinane (Valley Rovers) for Daly (57), C McCarthy (Blarney) for Coleman (59).

Ethan Twomey and Brian Keating both played really well in a decent match. Sadly though UCC unlikely to threaten this year.
