Nemo fucked up bigtime on the line. Brian o regan struggled on hodnet against skibb so perhaps they felt he mightnt do against Hurley, but I still think he'd have done a better job than the other corner backs. Even so, not double marking him suggested 'we are nemo and we'll beat ye 15 on 15' but that backfired. No kickout strategy from nemo either and dineen won all the ballooned nemo kickouts whereas haven goalie engineered a one v one on most of hus kickouts, very cluxtonesque.

tbf the nemo forwards kicked it away in first 15 munutes of second half and the line can't legislate for that. Nemos forward play in first 20 minutes sublime and you won't see better than the masters-cronin interplay for the goal. Fair dues to haven their game plan worked and they're some club but I can't see them getting past crokes. Hurley unreal but by all accounts the younger brother michael could be the best of the lot?

Saw cleary in the stand yesrerday, perhaps ge was in touch by phone but he didnt appear to be involved.

True enough but they certainly could have done themselves a favour by having Masters or Kerrigan on the frees.

Barry O'Driscoll missed 2 very scoreable frees in the final 15 yesterday. Could have been a different game if he wasnt taking them.

Was Luke Connolly injured for Nemo??

Ray Carey back for Clyda Rovers but their two Cork players were completely overshadowed by some of the younger players especially their two centre fields

Luke Connolly got injured playing soccer. Awful frees cost Nemo. Better team won imo. Nemo ran out of steam and ideas and had no one to take care of Hurley.

I don't think I've ever heard of a Castlehaven player playing soccer, I doubt they'd be allowed even in the off season

joe52: Hurley has really improved.Didn`t stand out in last years county final.Well we will see in the munster final against kerry or Crokes how they deal with him.
If he is restricted by them then every club team will copy it.I think you need a tight very pacy defender to deal with him.Terrific open 1st half. Second half was good too.Nemo missed a lot of chances including one easy free . Masters who had a good first half dropped a few just short. If they had got the 3 or 4 points that they missed it would have been close. As well nemo didn`t compete well for the kick out in the last quarter.Haven were well worth their win. Nemo seem to lack a bit of spark in the second half.
I think nemo did the right thing in not double marking hurley. The other forwards the haven have are very dangerous also.The way teams will deal with him in future is to bring an attacker back from the attack and go blanket.I don`t think his marker did too bad today.He was in oceans of space and the ref blew for everything , so if hurley won possession he was going to get a free or get his shot away.

The question was posed as to why West Cork clubs have a number of issues with the Haven, I pointed out a couple.

I drove to the county final on Sunday from west of Skibbereen.Their were blue &
white flags out all along the route to Cork, including Leap,Ross,The Pike, a good luck sign from all a Clon GAA club ,Bandon & Innishannon. It was nice to see such affection for the Haven.
