Cork Hurlers - Part 2

Almost every pundit went for Limerick. Someone here said that Eoin Larkin tipped us.

Limerick have been the best funded and prepared team in hurling in the last 7 years with very good management and introducing quality new players regularly.

It was going to take something exceptional to defeat normally.

Normally a manager will hope that 10 or so players play very well to win. Today, we had 14, possibly 15 players play just about as well as they could. That is exceptional and very unusual.

We dominated or broke even with our opponents in every line of the team.

Pat Ryan will obviously try to replicate this in the final - if so then we won't be defeated

Just watched the full game after landing home from Croke park. What a day and what a performance. So many highlights.
Barrett was blocked on every run for most of first 35 mins but he got a crucial score just before half time and hurled a lot of ball in second half. He also set up Hayes goal.
Coleman was super as well. Forwards scored 1-18 from play, Fitzy 3 and 2 from half backs. It’s a super team display when Hoggy frees are such a low proportion of our scores.
Clare would not be able to live with that kind of performance- so it’s all up to us to deliver one more time.
From where I was watching Barret was blocked illegally. Hannon kept blocking his runs when ball was nowhere near them.

:lol!: 13 of the starting team today started in 2018 and O'Donovan came on to make 14

Great performance and result.

Cork were 7/8 points a superior team to Limerick today, Thomas Walsh was the fault of a goal and 2 points which cost Cork a comfortable victory.

Seamus Harnedy and Deccie Dalton were huge losses when they went off, I thought they had more in them which would have closed out the result sooner considering Shane Kingston had a poor impact this time. I think Robbie O'Flynn should have been 1st sub for wing-forward.

Finishing the business in 2 weeks time is paramount.

As an aside , I wonder does School Principle John Kiely regret making a liar and a fool of himself in Court for his criminal player Kyle Hayes now that their year fell short ? The All Ireland might have been worth it for him , maybe ?
It's principal and he isn't anymore. He resigned last year and became a deputy principal 😂😂
I doubt he is the slightest bit worried considering the amount he has won.
