Cork Hurlers - Part 2

Quick question: I normally sit in one of the stands but all the good seats are gone so I’ll go terrace. A I right in saying the City end the predominately cork terrace to be in?

Historically the blackrock end was always Cork. The days of online tickets have ruined all that. All a mixed bag now.

Less than 2 weeks to go and all we can day at the moment is Collins will play in goal and Joyce at Centre Back.
Collins
SOD. R Downey. NOL
TOC. Joyce. Cahalane

That first part is clear enough, in my opinion, if the injury updates are accurate. Then it gets trickier…

B Roche. TOM

Still most likely from we saw vs KK, he’ll (TOM) be plenty fit in the space of the 5 or 6 weeks he’s had, couple of challenge IC games, couple of club games & ongoing AvB games.

Then it gets even trickier, but thankfully, when compared to midfield and defence, it’s about proper choices.

Darragh. Harnedy. Barrett
Dalton. Hoggie. Power

Robbie had an awful injury and amazing he’s recovering so quickly but I wouldn’t be rushing him & also let his speed be used when the game opens up a bit. Dalton can interchange with anyone in that half forward line, and you have to have Hoggy and Power based on what they showed in the league. Barrett is locked in 100%, himself and Joyce the most consistent performers over the league and clearly highly thought of by mgmt. There’ll be massive variation on puc outs , plenty 1-2’s and then Collins hits the 21 so wouldn’t be worried about aerial ability in the Hf line.

No disrespect to either player but I’d be disappointed to see Lehane or Kingston starting based on iffy league campaign. Lehane (excellent v Galway) will be very close but Kingston has to be kept as impact sub this year.

Starting a younger team then anticipated with some of those experience lads who are returning from injury coming off the bench for the last 20- 25 mins might be what we see for the Waterford game.

You could end up finishing games with your strongest team which isn't th worst option either.

As a poster above said...nobody can predict the Cork team now, especially Waterford.

I'd say some of those internal games have been very tasty.
