Not sure why this is a such a big deal. The draw will be a bit harder but there’s little to fear in the CL. No team is stubborn enough to park the bus so we will score plenty. There’s no first or second seed teams that will want Liverpool in their group & that’s a fact.

Celtic out before group stages this year. Didn’t push on over summer in the transfer market.

It's not a massive deal Shabs. Regardless of the draw you'd expect Liverpool would be favoured to make it out of the group.

But getting into the 2nd pot gives you a better chance of a soft draw, allowing increased focus on the league games before/after the CL ties - and maybe even an opportunity to rest heavily for the last group game.
