BBC's 24 Olympics channels on Sky.

Hi all, I just saw this post on Cork's 96FM FB page about this but I've tried the codes and they aren't working for me, anybody know what the story it with them?, thanks.

PJ here, folks. If you want to get those 24, yes 24 extra BBC Olympic games channels on your SKY box , you'll need to do it under the "Add Channels" section.

SKY aren't putting them on the main programme guide in Ireland, which is apparently something to do with RTE's Olympic rights here, but you can add them quite easily to the "other channels" section of your box.

If you have a standard SKY or SKY PLUS box, there are three codes..

10876 - V - 22 - 5/6
10921 - H - 22 - 5/6
11469 - H - 27.5 - 2/3

If you are a HD subscriber, there are six codes..

11.914 - H - 29.5 - 3/4
12.129 - V - 29.5 - 3/4
12.304 - H - 29.5 - 3/4
12.402 - V - 29.5 - 3/4
12.422 - H - 29.5 - 3/4
12.441 - V - 29.5 - 3/4

Go to "Add Channels" and just put in the codes. The channels won't be in numerical order, you can't record them or use the pause button on them, but at least you'll have them. There's a separate channel for every sport at the games.

All the BBC Olympic Games coverage can also be found by pressing the red button on your Sky remote from any BBC channel, so you can search for your favourite sport and find out what’s on when.

Spoke to someone from Sky there, we can access them using the red button only due to broadcasting rights but if anyone knows any other way around this let us know.

They are available on Freesat with no restrictions. On Sky, in Ireland, you can do the card trick and you might get them.

i was the same as you but then realised i have a HD box but im not subscribed to the HD , so used the standard one and works fine
