Do you people remember the AI Finals on the first Sunday of September and going back to school the following day after the summer hols? How did you use to feel on the Sunday night, dread or happy?

I remember that we used to get a half-day on the day victorious Cork teams visited CSN. It was always the following Friday after the final iirc.

In CCRí we didn't have to wait.....the CCRí players on the team came to us on the Monday ??

I can remember the two cork teams coming to the school in 1990. Can only remember getting half days when the lord mayor visited. Actually, it was even better than a half day. We'd be out the gap by about 10 or half past.

Maurice Mcgillicuddy and Bertie Kelliher beaming ear to ear after the third Sunday in September (four of my six years in CSN) is what I remember about that month. The late Eamonn Young and Michael Kilcoyne being in upbeat mood on the same Monday in 1982 is another.
