Athens for a week?

Any recomendations for Athens late spring or early Summer.
Hotels, Airbnb,restaurants and tours.
All suggestions gratefully received.

A week is quite long to stay in Athens... its nothing special
2 Days and you'll see all the main sights - Acropolis, Parthenon, Syntagma square, Plaka, etc
Other than the regular tourist stuff, and shops selling crappy souvenirs, its just a huge sprawling city

Thessaloniki is a far nicer city, and perfect size for walking around, etc

If you're stuck on Athens, you can always head to the islands for a few days

True that...... I'd say you should Hop on a (reasonably priced) ferry and visit a few islands. Off season you should have no issues in getting Accomodation within walking distance e of landing.

Specifically, is a city pass worth the money and has anyone an idea of which Irish bar might show the match on Sunday?
