Air Canada flight declares emergency, heads for Belfast

Air Canada flight AC825 just squawked 'emergency', has diverted from Amsterdam to Toronto route. Heading back over Northern Ireland after reversing course.

Update: Holding 7500 feet, heading for Belfast.

Jaysus lads she was dropping like a stone there for a few minutes. Not happy campers on board, I'd say. Approaching Belfast now.

Same plane was serviced recently.

A "strange odour" was detected, apparently.

Meanwhile a WWII plane has ploughed into a road near an airshow in Brighton and a passenger on an Emirates flight to Australia had to be subdued and restrained after beating the shit out of a stewardess. He screamed and headbutted the seat in front of him for hours after being tied up by other passengers.

When the plane got to NZ he was allowed to continue on his way.
