2022 Premier Senior football

Fair play to Mallow they have progressed alot this year.. could have beaten a good castle haven team tonight if they were a bit sharper with their shooting.their a big physical team with the likes of hayes, moynihan ,, harken , stanton , and many more. id rate them a top 5 team based on their current form

Was at Carbery/Ballincollig there this evening.. Really fancy Ballincollig to beat Nemo. No big stars just a combination of a great team performance. Some of the football played at pace by young forwards was great to watch. Carbery were well in it up to 40min but 2 goals in 6 min left it tough for them. They battled to the end, full credit to them. Two interesting semis

Only if they jam it up at the back and use that speed on the counter - last time they met in knock out stages they went toe to toe with Nemo and conceeded 4 or 5 goals.

Interesting to hear the Nemo Manager say after the Carbery Rangers game that he hopes he never coaches a team to play like that - I'd say he should spend his time working out how to coach a team to play against it, he is after enough costly experiences (Valley Rovers & Douglas 2021) and close calls against it (Clonakilty & Carbery Rangers 2022) to have come up with a plan for it at this stage...

It is amazing they never found a replacement for Tucker O'Brien, or tried to manufacture one, he made them tick for years in his role, especially when they were not in full flow - could badly do with someone like him atm.

Completely agree with your comment regarding the Nemo manager. They couldn’t break down C Rangers defence and only for a fluke of a goal they would have bowed out. Both teams played 15 men behind the ball especially in the second half so its even a bit rich.

Looking back, I'd argue Nemo have overachieved going back to 2017. Far too often in games they go long stretches with no scores and this either let's the other team amass a big lead or chip away a big lead that Nemo had.

Even when they are getting opportunities and the game is tight they have a bunch of wides almost inexplicably bad to keep it tight.

They don't seem to be able to play 60 minutes consistently very often. Anything else you think is important for winning I could make an argument that they have it, but they're needing it more and more to compensate for their lulls in play.

For anyone inclined, the Barrs are incredibly imo 2nd favourites behind Nemo and 2/1 with PP atm for the PSFC !!!

Presumably because of (in PP's eyes), the easier semi final vs Ballincollig, compared to vs Haven.

I agree with you, based on the way that's priced up, Ballincollig could be a nice price against Nemo and have a decent few pts in the handicap of they offer it.
