2 weeks in Thailand

Looking to go to Thailand prob late April for 2 weeks.
Any suggestions on itinerary without being too stressed out?
Was thinking flying into Bangkok and getting in some of the island areas?

Bangkok- 3 days max
Phuket- one day max.
Koh Phi phi- as long as you want, paradise IMO.
Koh Samui-2-3 days
Koh Phangan-2-3 days.

Beware of buses and flashing your cash, you'll more than likely get robbed.

It's not as cheap as it was. Expect to pay 200baht for a simple meal on the islands and about 60 baht for a half can (Koh Bulon).

Don't even bother flying into Bangkok it's a stupid idea. You will be in one of the worst places ever to recover from your jetlag. A big noisy dirty city. If you do fly in there stay in the financial district. Forget about Koh San Rd.

Much better to fly in Phuket. Accommodation is cheap there. Phuket town is worth a look around. Nice night market there and food options are good.

Id recommend going elsewhere instead Vietnam or Cambodia.

i wouldn't be too bothered with northern thailand (chiang mai etc). it's fine, but if only going for a couple of weeks then stick to the beaches.

agree on the cost - when i went there first about 7 or 8 years ago the exchange rate was around 70 baht to the (sterling) pound. it's 40ish now. it's roughly the level of portugal now cost wise excepting accomodation which is still relatively cheap.

would go along with gil on phi phi, probably my favourite of the islands over all.
