Cyrillic is not a language, it’s the alphabetSerbia is a regional power and neutral the EU needs them not to ally with Russia and the Serbs are doing a good job holding the line, Serbia & Russia are culturally very close they are both Orthodox Christian, speak Cyrillic and are Slavic kinda like UK & US having close connections so I woild not diminsh the Serbs.

If it was a language, then we would be calling Croatian a “Cyrillic” language since it is so close to Serbian, although using Latin script.By saying they are speaking Cyrillic it is implied that they use the Cyrillic language instead of saying Russian because languages like Serbian, Bulgarian & Ukrainian use the same script.
Also loads of Russians have since the war in Ukraine migrated to Serbia and a majority of those Russians in Serbia voted against Putin in the election which goes to show that the country is not just a dependency of Moscow.
