The tax disc is a silly thing. Even if it was his car but it isn't.
The alcohol warning stuff is pathetic.

Donnelly has been out of his depth since he started in politics.

He started off criticising the EU, looking for the 64 billion back as an Independent.
Then he went to SocDems.........with Róisín Shortall..........and now he is a cabinet minister with FF.

He's all over the shop politically.

Total non story.

The two yahoos in the Ditch are being ridiculed online for scraping the bottom of the barrel with this shite.

Quel surprise that you're trying to make out its some national scandal. No one with a brain in their head gives a flying f*ck m8.

Yes you keep claiming it to be a "non-story". You've a track record of such claims including Neil-Niall Collins-O'Connor and Golfgate and the like.

But you've yet to explain why it's OK for a sitting Minister and his wife to be driving around in a car that hasn't been taxed for 8 months when the Gardai were advertising the fact that they've confiscated cars for tax being out of date for a shorter period.

Do you want to try to grapple with that issue now or will you just stick your finger in your ears and chant your "It's a non-story" mantra?

Yea but it wasn't his car it was his wife's. Should they have taxed it? Of course - but I have often gone close to the wire on tax and insurance for simply forgetting. Given his job, checking his wife's car probably wasn't top of his priorities..........alcohol warnings etc...................

Here's my point - go after him for the state of the health service, go after him for trollies, go after him for waiting lists - that's the open goal................going after him for a tax disc for a car is letting him away with what he has actual responsibility for...........

It's not exactly leaking cabinet confidential documents or gaming the planning application process is it?

Surely to god they didnt deliberately avoid taxing the car? So much bad press for the sake of a few hundred euro,
Yea it's not like when he failed to disclose a rental property either.............he didn't gain by not taxing the wife's car.

Wouldn't mess with him though, apparently he is a martial arts head.

The two lads in the ditch awash with Russian money and trying to make out a woman not taxing her car is some kind of scandal.

Laughable.

Whats next , go after unreturned library books?

Inconsequential nonsense that only atttacts attention from fruitcakes.

Why would I 'explain' why some woman didnt tax her car for a few months?

Maybe she forgot. E-mail Donnelly demanding his wife explain her actions, you twit

You've to pay the back tax anyway when you do pay.
