Sinn Fein are not a Normal Political Party

Was it then that haughey did a deal with gregory? gene kerrigan said yesterday that on the election trail back then Haughey would be riding all round him while garret was a real family man.
I liked garret Fitzgerald, he was a gentleman. Ireland in the 80s was run by such a corrupt fianna fail party but that was irish politics back then. Haughey was a thief and a gangster .

Sinn Fein imposes a property tax alone averaging 1300 euro in Northern Ireland. (€25 a week).

Sinn Féin has proposed gradually increasing employers’ PRSI to the European average, in a move that could double the current rate of social contributions paid by businesses.

Emmm....will I be able to afford to hire some new staff or just put-up prices for the "average worker" to cover this new charge?

Who will pay for this?

Everybody.

P.S. Civil War politics' ended when FF & FG went into coalition.

Remind us what that "property tax" entitles one to in the north Stacky. How much do you currently pay for having your bins collected for instance? How much do you pay in "voluntary" school donations for your kids photocopying, whiteboards etc etc.
Depending on the amount you pay down here in property tax, weekly refuse collection, "voluntary" school donations etc that can quickly mount up each year.

And by the way, Sinn Fein was one of five different parties in power in the outgoing cross-party executive. FIVE!

Haughey robbed money raised for Lenihans operation,
But that was fianna fail back then. Such a corrupt bunch of crooks but the media and the church backed them ,remember people then just voted the same way their fathers and grandfather's did. You voted for ff or fg all your life. That didn't really change till the mid 90s as people woke up to the fact that the 21st century was coming and we would have to change . I remember campaigning in the first divorce referendum and the abuse we got was unreal. When I campaigjned the next divotce referendum I was getting nothing but praise for doing so.

It was rightly called out by various republicans as well as members of SF. If it wasn't wrong in itself, and it is imho, then aping the burning of emblems on these two bonfires in Derry is stupid, self-defeating, and lets the illinformed be duped into thinking each side is as bad as the other.
Who exactly is "ill-informed"?

Both sides place cultural symbols of their opposing side on giant bonfires at tribal festivals during the summer.

They both mimic the worst aspects of hate and supremacy.

Toxic sectarian bigotry.

newton emerson said same today, dup and sf have a deal, dup get 12th july sf get. feile bel feirste
DUP get 12th July???????????

The entirety of Unionism get 12th of July and have done since the inception of that state which had it as a separate Bank Holiday.

Féile Beal Feirste mightn't be everybody's cup of tea at the moment, and sure there's an amount of stupid chanting going on by some, but it's taken the heat out of long hot summers and reduced street violence and vandalism, as well as giving many in Belfast an uplift. It's gone from strength to strength in the last few years and if they can cut out the offensive chants it'll be brilliant.

Toxic sectarian bigotry.

People on both sides placed themmuns symbols on their bonfire. The loyalists hold more and more such bonfires and scores if not indeed hundreds of them are festooned with emblems from the other side, and of particular named people.
There were two such bonfires in Derry, roundly condemned by community leaders, but as ever you are trying to draw a false equivalence.

The number of nationalist bonfires has dramatically dwindled, in no small way in belfast thanks to the feile. Loyalist bonfires number in the hundreds.
