We are at frightening levels of transmission at the moment. Over 5,000 yesterday, thats like .1% of the population in one day, I'm afraid to leave the house. We need to adopt covid policies from other countries, Austria for example are leading the way by locking down all those who are not vaccinated. Also, Singapore have announced that all covid patients who have not been vaccinated will have to pay in full the costs of their treatment. If we could cut all social welfare payments in half for those who are unvaccinated, they wouldn't be long getting the jab. It's been clear from the start that 99% of the jab shy are also work shy. From Monday, the unvaccinated will not be allowed visit family in nursing home, and partners will not be allowed into maternity hospitals at any stage. This is a good start, but we need to do more. No gyms, no hairdressers, no post offices, no banks, no churches, no sports, no corner shops. Just let them use supermarkets at certain times, like 8pm till close, and then deep clean the supermarket. It's never too late to get the jab, the jab is proven to stop hospitalisations and death. Be pure, be vigilant, behave, we can beat this.

Hey MrJackPot, you omitted a vital piece of info in your concern at the ‘over 5,000 cases’. There was a backlog of approx. 1,200 cases included in that figure. You do understand that these are literally just positive PCR tests, don’t you? The PCR has been explained ad infinitum, so I’m sure you’re well educated on it.
Hospital numbers and ICU numbers would be a better guage to see how things are going. The fact that we have a dysfunctional & disgraceful health service that cannot accommodate Irish citizens for decades can’t be unknown to you or anybody in this country.
“It's been clear from the start that 99% of the jab shy are also work shy.”
No, that has not been clear from the start and is not clear now. If you have a link to prove your statement, I’d be interested in reading it. Thanks.
You showed a lack of humanity in your reply for those who have not/cannot take the jab. You showed absolutely no empathy for the consequences that would befall them if you were in government & took the steps you propose here.
Obviously, you’re aware those who are jabbed are as likely to catch it or spread it as those who are not. It’s been well documented in scientific papers. I wonder then why did you hone in on the unjabbed and what you feel should be done to them? Is it fear? I know our government & media have had a field day with fear-porn for the past 20 months. But I would assume somebody like yourself, well up on the ways of the world, would not have succumbed to that fear. We all know that fear prevents rational thought so I just wondered?
“I'm afraid to leave the house.”
How about you stay in your house? It does seem that maybe it is fear that is causing you to think the way you do.
The living are meant to live. By that, I do not mean people should take risks. I mean if you’re so afraid that you feel you had to stay in your house, then by all means, continue to do that.
I used to wonder how naziism got support from ‘ordinary’ people. Did you? I don’t wonder any longer. I see people like you aplenty online, sadly!
