SF and left councillors in Cork, who?

Sf are not left wing. they are a nationalist, introverted party living in the 19th century. In any other state in Europe, they'd be classified as right wing. How can a narrow-minded backward party like sf be seen as left? ffs.

Nationalists with socialist leanings. Not sure if it's been tried before. They could be onto something

Right across the country Sinn Féin is putting up strong opposition to the politics of austerity. People recognise our efforts and are supporting us in ever-increasing numbers. On May 23rd a vote for Sinn Féin is vote AGAINST water charges, the property tax and mindless austerity. It's a vote FOR transparent and accountable Local and European Government. It's a vote FOR fairness and it's a vote FOR equality. North and South - vote Sinn Féin for a New Republic.

the first line is hilarious; it should read "Right across the country Sinn Féin is putting up strong opposition to the politics of austerity, but in the north we favour the aforementioned austerity" what a joke of a party

Munt_y Sinn Fein are administrating and implementing austerity, property and water charges across the border in Northern Ireland.

You can only laugh really.

You are like the Austerity parties running scared...well I got news for you...its too fucking late comrade!

Munt_y how do Sinn Fein plan to end austerity seeing as the state is currently spending 10 billion more than it takes in per. annum and we are tied into a 3% deficit limit ( currently we are under 7%) with the EU and have longstanding funding agreements with the troika which are inspected externally every 3 months ?

Feel free to ask a parent or guardian for help.

Sinn Féin stopped water charges in the North. Labour Party loves to shout across the Dáil when challenged on its broken promises, that we have property tax in the North. We haven't. There are rates which get you rubbish collection, septic tank desludging, school transport, school books, libraries, driving lessons, NO road tolls, public health services. Our water charge and property tax get you nothing, but more money being handed over to the debt. Now, Gilmore finds it hard to understand...

Munt_y every country in the EU has water charges apart from Ireland and that includes the UK i.e. Belfast etc.
