Belfield Abbey, Boreenmanna road?

Address snobbery is rife in Cork.
Best ever were the houses built in Ballycurreen (Togher) that were sold as Ballycurreen, Frankfield.Priceless.I always have a little chuckle to myself when I pass them.Frankfield put at least €50k on to the price.

Jacob's Island is the best one though. I've seen it described on Daft as Rochestown, Blackrock and even Douglas. The vogue for describing Passage as Upper Rochestown appears to have died down.

Hilarious.:)

Frankfield is only the area with the few estates around the church of Ireland and the golf club really.

"Belfield" Where did they get that name? Another meaningless and pretentious address.

At least the Abbey part does have a connection with the historical "Bóithrín na Manach"

Better than Upper and Lower Kensington catapulted from London to Rochestown I suppose. :)
