Four performers prepare to go on stage. The same routine. Night after night after night.
Witness their rituals. Their anxieties. Their irritations. Their quirks.
Before the show starts. Before the audience arrives. Before the nerves settle.
The Warm Up.
Inspired by a live recording of actors warming up each night before the curtain rises, The Warm Up captures the fragility and absurdity of lives lived in anticipation of performance.
Through virtuosic vocal performance, movement, and electronics, four performers prepare their voices, their bodies, and themselves for the stage. Hear their longings. Their apprehensions. Their dreams.
