The Congos are one of the few Jamaican groups still performing with their original lineup from the 1970s, bringing powerful unity and true Rastafarian spirit to their shows; Cedric Myton, Ashanti Roy, Watty Burnett, and Talash stay true to their roots, living the message they share.
Their legendary album Heart of the Congos, recorded at Lee “Scratch” Perry’s Black Ark studio, includes classics like Fisherman, named one of Rolling Stone’s top ten reggae tracks. While less prolific in recent years, their recent albums Swinging Bridge and Back In The Black Ark feature standout tracks like Ten Million Chariots and Old Time Friend.
