"Sounds Queer to Me" is an autobiographical one-woman show by Ivy Favier, telling the story of her love life. A hybrid between musical theatre and standup comedy, SQtM consists of a series of short monologues, interspersed with original songs. Ivy also employs the use of hand-held signs throughout the show to highlight recurring themes and encourage audience participation. Filled with dramatic irony, humorous coincidence, and poignant introspection, SQtM is an amusing, quirky, and heartfelt journey of love, loss, and learning, told through the lens of the queer experience.
