SFSH: Gemma Doherty

Gemma Doherty is a composer, harper and singer from Derry. Her music combines contemporary with experimental Irish folk/traditional, centered around the harp with electronics and effects. She has released two critically acclaimed albums as one half of electronic-folk duo Saint Sister - receiving Best Album in N.I. Music Prize, and nominations for Album of the Year in Choice Music Prize and RTÉ Folk Awards. Recent work for Film and TV includes “I Hope We Can Still Be Friends”, additional composition on “Kneecap”, “Ogham”, “Fadó Fadó”, “Camera Tripod Bicycle”. Gemma performed with Bono on his “Stories of Surrender” tour, and has worked with artists such as Bono, Lisa Hannigan, SOAK, Crash Ensemble, Villagers, Denise Chaila, John Francis Flynn, Rachael Lavelle and more.
