Culture night at St Fin Barre’s Cathedral will begin at 6:15pm with Choral Evensong. Everybody is welcome to experience this moment of reflection, guided by the sacred music of our renowned choir, directed by Mr Peter Stobart. The choral music tradition at St Fin Barre’s reaches back at least seven hundred years. The perfect way to kick off Culture Night 2026!From 7pm the cathedral will be an open house all evening. Visitors are most welcome to wander in any time. Cathedral tours with our fantastic guides will be at 7pm, 8pm and 9pm.At 8:30pm a bell-ringing demonstration will take place inside the cathedral. This will be on our Mini-ring, which is our scaled-down, portable peal of bells. We are always delighted to meet new people who might be interested in bell-ringing. Come and say hello!
Evening timetable:
6:15 – Choral evensong – we recommend arriving early (very sorry, but we can’t let people in after the service has begun)
7:00 – Doors open – all welcome all evening!
