Seeking a deeper, more authentic musical direction, he pivoted from his initial pop-ballad success to embrace a grit-and-soul alternative pop style.
He spent time recording cinematic, alt-pop music out of Clonakilty under the moniker RM Hyde before returning to his own name.
An experienced live performer, he has played major regional festivals and shared the stage with legendary Irish folk figures like Andy Irvine.
