Ortús 2021 Chamber Music Festival’s opening concert will entrance audiences with a performance of Mozart’s lively Horn Quintet, followed by Bridge’s moving Lament for Two Violas and John Clayton’s virtuosic work for solo double bass Bach to Blues. This will be followed by Louise Farrenc’s sensational first piano quintet.

This concert will showcase a dazzling array of Irish and international musicians - Artistic Director and cellist Sinéad O’Halloran will be joined by Irish musicians Ed Creedon, viola, Hannah Miller, French horn and Gary Beecher, piano, alongside international violinists Peter Rainer & Stephanie Appelhans (Germany), Francesca Gilbert (UK) on viola and Naomi Shaham (Israel) on double bass.
