The afternoon Lusitania Talk & Walk focuses on the internationally significant story of the
RMS Lusitania disaster and the Old Head’s connection to one of the defining maritime
tragedies of the First World War. The talk in the Lusitania Memorial Garden will be followed
by a short guided stroll downhill to the ruins of De Courcey Castle, overlooking stunning
coastal scenery and the bird sanctuary to learn more about shipwrecks and local heritage.
The Lusitania Talk & Walk departs every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 2pm from the
Lusitania Memorial Garden and lasts approximately 90 minutes. Tickets are €12 per person
and can be purchased at reception on the day or reserved online at
