Katie Archer and Roisín Gowen, two Irish chailíns with a shared connection to South Africa, reunite for a show in their Other Mother City: Cork. Having last shared a stage over in Cape Town and having both since released warm, honest, and heartfelt collections of music, 19th July in The Roundy promises to offer an evening filled with journeys of every kind; across the seas, alongside, towards, away from the ones we love, and right into our very own selves.

Rush of Song is the debut EP from Katie Archer, a songsmith and singer from Cork. A big feeler and a lover of woods and the sea, cups of tea and fires, whistling and words, Katie's songs attempt to honour the labour and loveliness of life to call in a more connected way of being. Rush of Song is a six-song collection from her early songwriting days, charting the learnings and growings that come with initiation into adulthood; an ode to meeting oneself, letting go of judgement, and finding a creative voice.
