The relationship between music and spirituality has along with the Inherent Multiplicity of Oneness was one of the dominant themes of Cork 2005. With Siberian shamens and Jewish Klezmer musicians installed as "sleepers" (quite literally) on the number seven Bus route and Tibetan Throat chanting being continuously mimed in a room above Tony's Bistro on North Main Street, there is a growing sense within the Cork Arts Community that indigenous sounds are finally making their mark on the ordinary every day sense of spiritual sublimation as experienced by the regular Cork Josephine Soap.
This lasting impact of Cork 2005 upon the life of the city is set to be consolidated in spectacular fashion in a one off improvisation piece set to take place in Shandon at a non-temporally specific occasion in the forthcoming months, Donging the Tower.
