Women and pints..

i was listening to news talk this morning,Tom Dunne i think..well the discussion was women drinking pints,and the general opinion was no..i was amazed,couldnt believe some of the peoples opinions that rang in..did i fall asleep and wake up in the Yemen or something?..they said it was loutish and made women look fat and unladylike...i would have a pint on occasion depends on the mood..also its cheaper then getting half glasses isnt it? are we back in 1970 Ireland again?

I think i've seen a German or French geezer do it once or maybe a yank with a glass of Guinness. Never seen an Irishman order a glass of beer tho.

would not give 2 hoots if a girl ordered a pint. She would probably be some lush tho if she was into knocking back pints.

I was brought up in a pub, and when i started drinking I remember my Dad catching me and my sister with a pint of lager each I was about 17, he said it was the most unladylike thing he had ever seen.

I don't have a problem with it really but have never done it since.

It doesn't bother me either way. Herself is freaked out by women with pints of stout though...
