Pubs reopening June 29th

Ya it’s been very busy for food recently, I eat there once a week generally midweek but went in Thursday last week and just turned around and left with the que of people to be seated.

The scampi is savage as is the fish and chips and steak sandwich. Serious portion and decent value

I overdid the steak sandwich and can't even look at it now. It was lovely though, their pepper sauce is the best out there.

The only thing I've never gone for I'd say is the "famous" big salad. I might try it during the summer when it's a bit warmer out.

I wonder what the craic with the pints is. Like there's always a good flow, even though they have far too many beers on tap. The glasses definitely aren't clean enough although it has been suggested that this is common in places that serve food.

The pub/restaurant out in Togher/Lehenaghmore put up their prices yesterday evening. Group of us out there having a few pints and they put up the prices mid session. So had 3 pints at the old price then a further 2 at the new prices. An extra 20c per drink.

And this has nothing to do with the diageo upcoming increase.

The salad is excellent have had it many times when I haven’t been massively hungry or just trying to eat a bit cleaner.

I don’t buy the ‘drink is shite because of food’ as the plates etc are washed in dish washer in the kitchen whereas the pint glasses are washed in the bar, completely separate.

Pints of beer in the SC are absolutely fine that’s why I generally have one when eating there, it’s Stout is the problem so my guess is the temperature/pressure settings in the cold room are sub optimal and may be a fair distance from the actual bar, long travel in the lines has been known to have an effect.

It’s a shame as I like the place, the food, the staff and Tom is a top guy.

It's the only bad thing I can say about the place. I love the decor, the staff are A1, the food is as good as anywhere, but the pints of stout are just muck.

I actually asked for a cold glass one day but that just compounded the issues.

Also another negative, there's no phone signal in the jacks so if you're trying to watch a video or log onto Pornhub you're goosed.

Aside from that the jacks are probably the best in Cork. Hotel standard like.

Couple of hot waitresses aswell which counteracts the lack of pornhub though

Funny you'd say that, I wouldn't be into any of them, but they're all very young tbf.

I'd be far more into the dirty Douglas MILFs who swarm the place at the weekend

All you need is a yacht and a Polo Ralph Lauren jumper and you're as good as riding them up the arse.

I hope all those greedy Dublin publicans and hoteliers are enjoying the Liverpool game 🤣🤣🤣⚽

I can't see the Atalanta fans drinking too many €10 pints

Serves them right, the cunts (not the Atalanta fans) 🍻
