Jesus lads, 'tis looking like BREXIT!

Sunak is still hanging in there for a "hung parliament"...........

It can get worse.

This summer, there's a really good chance the number of small boats arrivals breaks previous records, making a nonsense of Sunak's claims about the Rwanda scheme. Additionally, more of those arriving asylum seekers are disappearing, resulting in a growing shadow economy.

The impact of Brexit checks is going to continue to get worse for at least the next month (as UK farms can't provide that much produce at this time of year).

If they wait till autumn, then the perpetual NHS winter crisis could start kicking in again, then there's the extra checks to imports that are to be introduced at the end of October, fucking up supply chains in the lead up to Christmas, especially as they're around safety and security. It really depends on how they implement the rules, but things like games consoles and phones do have security controls around their export/import. Similarly, there's comprehensive safety controls around kids toys, chemicals, etc...

And of course, the longer this government goes on, the more fuckups it seems to make.

More UK-EU-UK checks coming in in October.

Post summer break it is into the conference season and election campaign and the Tory party only has a 1% chance of winning the general election anyway then they are just going to wreck the place for the next Labour Government.

They can all just go skiing.........oh wait!

They can't go 2 weeks without a fuck up. Dictionary definition of an omnishambles.
NHS waiting lists should be one of them, especially based on the stats released today for March:

NHS waiting list continues to grow to 7.5 million referrals to treatment that have not been completed. This affects 6.3 million people, almost 10% of the population.

The defection to labour yesterday seems to be dredging up a little bit of animosity on the left of the Labour party. Not ideal.

I think those on the left of the Labour party don't understand the strategy.

Starmer's key strategy is to make Labour more attractive to the centre and centre right of the country. The Tories have headed off to the far right, leaving a massive chunk of the population behind.

He needs to demonstrate that those folks who lean to the right, in England particularly, have nothing to fear from Labour, that he's not about to go on an idealistic purge of the country. The left of the party want him to do exactly that.

The left of the labour party still hate Tony Blair with a passion, the only Labour leader to have won an election since Harold Wilson in 1974. Too many of them would prefer to be ideologically pure and out of power.

It remains to be seen whether or not this does help Starmer make the Labour party more appealing to those on the right though.

I wonder if this is a precursor to letting Diane Abbott back into the party and extending an olive branch to Corbyn, if he makes some form of commitment to the right of Israel to exist?

The Tories would just love that:confused:

Only if they agree to marry each other this time as a pre-condition?

She is a complete chancer and she was right-wing if I recall and now she is leaving a sinking ship.
She took her husbands seat as he was jailed for sexual assault. Her electorate region is Dover, which is kind of funny as she says she left the Tories because they weren't stopping enough boats. The Tories are also withholding info that the French have stopped approx 1000 boats to show the French in a bad light.
