Tbh, the social media age has f8cked the policing. They can't be arsed dealing with fools that are going to plaster them all over the internet, the rules and regulations around their use of pepper spray is ridiculous, draw their batons, another load of paperwork. They do the right thing ie, the garda that gave the old man a bike during Covid or the one that stopped the three scumbags in Dublin, end up in court or suspended. Morale is the lowest it ever as been and they prefer to sit in the station or just spinning around in patrol cars.
Bring back this lad and give them carte blanche.

It’s an important point, I know a few guards, good lads that genuinely got into the job to try do a service for communities but the layers of bureaucracy has broken a lot of them.

It’s a no win situation for them as everything is filmed now and scum bags know they have an advantage.

The untenable situation with Harris isn’t helping either, he needs to go and they need to rebuild that broken organisation

Ah stop, Harris is the first commissioner in 40 years that has tried to reform a police force that was out of control. Run to the dictats in the GRA and AGSI for years. No wonder they want him gone as he demands that they do a proper days work. No doubt they'll get rid of him tho and return to their old corrupt ways.
