Cork Hurlers - Part 2

This is typical of the flawed view on young hurlers in Cork. In Cork fellas think player development & progression is like steps of a stairs. That’s just more of the rebel og bullcrap. One Cork Corkness BS, you couldn’t make it up.

The backbone of those Limerick U21 teams were already senior Limerick hurlers. Some of the main guys went straight from minor to senior as should be the case in Cork too if fellas are good enough.
But In Cork you somehow have to be 23/24 before you are given a chance.
They are generational talents though. Easy put the likes of lynch Hayes hegarty Gillane in etc.

Eoin Downey was very poor today, especially for the goals. Diarmuid Ryan soloing through to passs to totally unmarked player - shocking defending
ED did well today, marking Aidan Mac - one of the most on form forwards in the country, he has to be part of this defence going forward. Leaving 2 v 2 situations in 45 metres of space will cause problems for any team

Also, we don’t pick a midfielder whose job is to help the defence. Crazy when you think we’re conceding so much over the last 12 mts.

This is typical clueless nonsense here. Nash was a poor distributor, used to just lash it long whenever the pressure came on (see 2018 semi).
Since Ger Cunningham we have somehow bizarrely lost the ability to produce top keepers, to the point that in Cork we don’t seem to even know anymore what a good one actually is imo.

I must be missing the point then.
I thought Tim did as well if not better then any player we could have put on Peter Dugan.
It was an unmerciful tussle between them that he came out of reasonably well.
You’re surely having a laugh? The obsession with trying to pull hard on a puck out against someone as good as Duggan. Stop the ball. Duggan like a man against a child
