Cork Footballers

We need a reliable free taker who can take 45s that must mean Sherlock starts and in reality Kelly is a better keeper as his range of kickouts are far superior, we nearly lost Saturday as when the heat came on all we had was high spirally to the left
Agree 100% on both counts.

Another area of concern is our lack of a play maker who can spot and execute a foot pass, on the break.
Grugan did huge damage for Armagh

Our 2 most recent great sides had Dave Barry and Paddy Kelly.

Cronin seems the best option for this but the early championship means little time for experiment

Kelly was named to start v Armagh which would suggest he had a good chance of playing v Limerick. Was he injured/ill on the night or was it just change of mind by Cleary and his team?

Another point of note.

Colm O Rourke often questions Cork Footballers will to win.

We have guys that have battled career threatening injuries - Hurley, Meehan & Powter to name a few

No question on these lads commitment and this side gave O Rourke his answer rattling off 7 pts without reply in the final 15 mins and coming back against a top 4 side in the 2nd half on Saturday

Wouldnt be listening to O Rourke and his whining...Cork have been at the top table alot more recently than Meath and look like getting back there alot sooner aswell

Seán Powter: Cork taking pride in silencing the detractors

Some insight into the mentality of the squad. reminds me of Derek Kavanagh's quotes from when he retired saying basically "we did this for ourselves"
