Bob Marley: He Lives In The Glen

WANNN LUUUV! WANNN HAAAIRT! LETS GET TOOOGAYYYDUR AND FEEEEELALRIGHT!

On a sunny day in Cork, it's unlikely you'd be able to stand in the city for longer than 10 minutes and not hear a taxi blaring out Bob Marley. Local radio station, 96FM, use it instead of the weather forecast when temperatures are due to rise.

There were rumours at one stage that Bob Marley was not only alive, but that he lived in a flat in The Glen (about 2km north of Cork city). And that he might have been 'banging out' (selling) hash. And that he may actually be from Cork in the first place.

These rumours may have been started by us. We can't remember. We wrote this just in case.

If you wanted cast-iron proof that Marley is from the Glen look at how the Jamaican colours are the exact same as those worn by famous hurling club Glen Rovers. Case closed.
