The difference is the top sides hold possession, probe, recycle, wait for the opposition to make a mistake, and then immediately attack that area with something incisiveWe look to be very slow at getting the ball forward & above average amount of passes per sequence.
This clusters us with a lot of high quality nations...the problem is they have the final third quality to break sides down & we don't.
Further supports the point above, that we have a decent amount of raw pace in the squad that we could be making better use of.

We hold possession and recycle it somewhat, but rarely find the type of pass that gets you behind a team which is where our pace could cause issues. Its certainly not that Kenny didn't want them playing that pass or probing to find the weakness, its that we dont have the midfielders to spot either. I'm not sure how that is fixed
Last nights version of it was watching Mikey Johnson just running at them, trying to dribble his way through, before he'd eventually run out of road and zero end product. For some reason ray Houghton thought this was incredible stuff altogether though and gave him man of the match on RTE
