The Hurling Thread

It will be very interesting to see who the defence team are. It would be helpful to Kyle if there was somebody about who could throw a few a bob at one of the best...

I think it was the first linesman he spoke to....He went to him first and did a lot of writing......then when chatting into the mic he was looking towards that sideline

I don't see how a ref in a club championship game who would have someone doing VAR for them....i just don't see it......what kind of setup would they need....who would be supplying it? the Ref?...Munster council?

Bit of community service. Nice fine. Maybe a bit of probation. John kiely will just use his recycle his league statements from last league campaign substituting Hayes name for Gillanes and Hayes will return for the championship despite online rumours he ran off to Honduras or something.

Tbf, Hayes's case is in national news and Kiely will have no where to hide. The Gillane incident never made the media or court so easier for him to ignore it.

Stupid commentary - has it not dawned on you that nearly 20 years later that strike set Cork hurling back 2 decades. It was a bunch of players with huge egos wanting to run the affairs of the county instead of the county board. Hopefully we will never see a bunch like that again.
We know who were the ones with egos.

The likes of Brian Corcoran, Sean Og, the O'Connor twins and Joe Deane were all great players and always genuine down to earth guys. The rot had set in well before the strikes and your so-called esteemed county board were responsible. Do you realise the County had gone 20 years without winning an AI minor title, do you wish to blame the striking senior players also for that failure? Our esteemed secretary ran a job for the boys policy while Cork's hurling culture was decaying under all their noses but did they care? Not a dickiebird but they were full of the 'We are Cork' and the 'Mushrooms' philosophy. Their legacy is debt and a concert venue.

Anyway this has nothing to do with Eddie Keher and his fellow interfering cronies who's hypocrisy knows no bounds.
