Really scathing lyrics. I always assumed Shane was hard core republican as he was friends with Gerry Adams and he said on the late late one time that the house he grew up in in Shinrone was a safe house for the IRA, but according to Victoria Mary Clarke on the BOC show, he actually liked the royals.
