First car

Mine was a Peugeot 205 XRAD van. Little white job, '89. Cornered like it was on rails. You could sleep in the back, but you wouldn't be stretching out your legs. I loved it, but I also drove it into the ground.

My first car was a Ford escort mark 2 in brown, the only car i have driven ' over 100 mph.
Mine was a Toyota Corolla - and back in those days of three/four numbers - three letters license plates the top speed limit was 100 MPH.

It was so rare an event driving at 100MPH (for me anyway) though that I can still remember driving at that with three other guys on board on the Naas Dual Carriageway on our way up to see Cork in the 1980s.

Let's just say it'd take a bit of a run to develop that speed with four adults on board, but that car served me oh so well.

Only once ever bought a brand new car, and that was combined between my missus and me, and it's unlikely I ever will again.

Can still rattle off its old license plate number of that Corolla but couldn't tell you for sure the one for the car I currently drive

As they say nostalgia isn't what it used to be
