Its Reckuf just spamming the place FFS the reaction to the result has been understandable, so much build up, so much disappointment and the possibility that we are done and watching others light the championship up again.. but lads calling for Kingston is amusing me. He was to never see a Cork shirt again after the league in here.. and now he's the great white hope! We have the panel of hurlers we have.. most seemed in agreement that it was the strongest we had assembled in years before the match, now lads are calling for guys that have hardly played in the league as the answer to championship hurling against Clare. I would love to see TOM more involved, but PR completely lost the opportunity to see how he'd go over the league, I have no idea why but maybe he doesn't go well at all in training? My guess is he doesn't trust him because he fouls too much, and with long free specialists in most teams thats a point every time that we cant afford. Momentum is everything in sport and we dont have the unshakable belief Limerick have to fall back on when the match is going against us. The first 5-10 minutes is critical and it went against us again, a Waterford goal and they tag a bunch of points to it.. we are chasing instead of settlng in. The management have questions to answer for this as we hit a string of wides that cost us the chance to get right back in the mix and back in front quickly. People have pointed out that the wides evened themselves out as Waterford hit more in the 2nd half and we sorted our accuracy out.. but thats not how things work, its much easier to defend a lead and hold a team at bay than chase a deficit. After all of the focus on puc-outs I couldn't believe that we continued to beat them long down on top of a Waterford HB line with 4 men, and watch them eat us for breakfast in the air.. whats worse is we knew this is how Davy would set them up but ignored it and went for it regardless. PR can sort that this week, he has to. We need to get our formation and match-ups right, and we need to get our tactics and game plan right, there is no excuse not to now. If PR thinks we didn't deliver the right amount or kind of ball into the forwards, then why didn't he change it so that we did? We had options to work passes in and turned them down.. the minute we did we scored. Get it right and we have a fighting chance
