best broadband in cork

They all use the Eir infrastructure as the fixed-line broadband/fibre can be installed in the majority of homes in Ireland via telephone or using fibre-optic cables. ... There are no coverage limitations when it comes to satellite broadband in Ireland, which means that the internet is accessible from any location. So I reckon Sky may be your best bet but be very aware as all the providers have a poor 'care team' track record!

Sky broadband comes down your phone line and has nothing whatsoever to do with you sky dish, imho Virgin media broadband is the fastest and most reliable broadband in my area.
Dunno what the care team is like because ive never had to call them.
Freck

you lucky...................must move house!

Virgin Media are among the few who have a network that is independent of Eir. But they are not everywhere - just like another independent network, SIRI.

There are other operators in parts of the country who provide a service via a central mast and an aerial on the outside wall of your house. But they are riddled with contention issues.

Every other operator use Eir's cables and all will have similar speeds. They may be cheaper than Eir (most are) and may not be too bad to deal with. Eir are a nightmare - if they get anything wrong, they are incapable of righting it.

The HSE may have to reopen the mental homes to cater for people who are driven insane by Eir.

You can’t call them “mental homes,” anymore. You have to call them “residential care centres.”
It’s madness gone politically correct
