We were a different team then, on the way up,now we are on the way down.Richie is far from been out of his depth in the role I can assure you that 👍

Yes. I think we're getting confused as a result of my inability to write clearly.

The point regarding families dominating GAA clubs was made about clubs generally, not the Glen specifically. You had asked how many of Sunday's team came from such families. My response was to admit I knew very little about the Glen and to explain that my original post hadn't specifically addressed them in that regard.

But look, the bottom line here, is that I think I'm making a point which is generally valid. Why are clubs generally failing to bring players from immigrant backgrounds through to adult level.

A look at the Glen and the community which they represent begs that question - but as clearly stated in my original post - they are absolutely positively not the only club failing to do this.

I apologise if I've offended you though. And I'm happy to admit that my assumptions about the Glen generally were WRONG. I thought they were failing to bring the kids of immigrants in the door. You pointed out that that was not the case. I'm happy to take your word on that.

What’s his style of play???what tactics does he have??we have conceded 6 goals in 2 games, when the opposition star players have played barely a 1/2 between them, take of the rosé tinted glasses,

The rule works in soccer. It's better to have it black and white. Otherwise mentors would find a way around it. Both teams would be treated the same.
Soccer rules are slightly different anyway, that's why I phrased mine the way I did. I agree with you 100% just even if it's black and white there's more factors to consider. GAA Players can receive attention/treatment on pitch while ball is in play. Soccer the referee must stop game and then beckon on physio/doctor.

Barrs vSars game was a ref of 2 halves ,1st half he left everything go ,2nd half he blew for everything. Sars got 3 soft free early in the 2nd half which helped them protect their lead.He held up play when no 14 for Sars was injured but insisted in playing on when both B Cunningham and E Twomey were down receiving treatment.
Sars were way better than us on Friday and i was impressed with their no 7 Elliott other than him i didnt see any other potential in either team bar those already on the cork panel.
I was impressed with Elliott when I saw him play last year.
I know nothing about him however, is he young or a more experienced player ?
