2023 Premier SHC

I agree will rule out the tactical stoppages in games.

However if there is visible strike/contact on head and players takes off helmet as play continues or if player has lower or upper body injury, keeps helmet on and physio/doctor runs on (if safe ball at other end of pitch etc), player is treated the player should not be put at a disadvantage.
The rule works in soccer. It's better to have it black and white. Otherwise mentors would find a way around it. Both teams would be treated the same.

Saw the Barrs first 2 games, newtown game all players had to be outside the 21 before the puck out and the Sars game the ball was nearly been pucked out before the flag was raised.

Glen are a great club. Always have and always will be. Weren’t up to standard this year, but lost to two very strong sides in Midleton and the Rockies. They’ll be back again no doubt but a difficult one to take having their championship over in a week. But that’s the cut throat nature of this championship.
Absolutely, there will always be a casualty with 3 groups but it is brilliant as well. Look at last year, Midleton and Sars didn't get out of their groups.
There is no hiding with this format, you have to be on it from game one.

Ref blew blatantly for a free yesterday on hogie!,midleton players stopped & hoggie kicked the ball into net. The ref then ran in with hand up declaring a 21 yard free, and then proceeded to give a goal.Is this right??

Not 100% sure the whistle was blown, Hoggie was after 15 or so steps though!

A lot of arguments in the club last night about player power bringing in their own managers!!! A lot of soul searching this winter,we could be down for years

Ffs Dorris is still a sub, buster could have a jersey aswell, big difference winning kids championships and turning them into seniors, last year’s manager proved that

When you look at the demographics of modern Blackpool, it seems obvious that the Glen isn't really representative of the contemporary community anymore. Of course they're far from being the only club that isn't properly plugged into the local immigrant community, it just looks more obvious with them.

All clubs can become a bit obsessed with developing the next generation of a few families who have dominated the club in the past. That's hardly surprising as kids from families steeped in GAA often seem to make very good hurlers. Such GAA families are sometimes the hard working heartbeat of a club and it's only natural that they can look to other families with similar pedigrees.

But the clubs who can reach out and bring in new members from non-GAA families, while maintaining their traditional memberships are the clubs who'll thrive. I think we're all behind the curve on that one. Ladies football and camogie have made it obvious to me that there's a big future in bringing in players from families who haven't been involved before. There are quite a few women walking around with AI medals who weren't from GAA families. The GAA just seems less interested. I noted that when signing up for Rebel TV, they ask you what club you're from. There might be reasons why such info is useful to the County Board and it's a fair question to ask. However a more pertinent question might be: Are you a club member? That would at least tell them how many people are out there with an intense interest in GAA, who haven't joined or maintained club membership. They're clearly not even interested enough to ask.

Should kids not play where they grow up and go to school and play with their school mates instead of being taken across the city to play in another club
Ideally yes but it is also great to see kids happily playing for the club of their father or mother. I think you underestimate the value of tradition
