2023 Premier Intermediate football

Shocking by a town the size of macroom can't disagree with you there but the underage results in recent years have been very poor and its showing now in a big way. Think inchigeela are gone back from a few years ago the scoreline against bantry flattered them.

I’d say it’s more that they are now at a grade that is as high as they will go . They were well ahead of all junior teams and kept up that momentum In Intermediate A but are now in a grade that they will be competitive without being a threat to winning.

They don’t have the luxury of a strong conveyor belt of underage coming through. On Macroom that’s where the problem is as well underage as they should be competing at all A grades underage but are well down the grading .

Macroom used always have a few cork minors and u 21s in their club going back but not in recent years. It must be tough on their supporters to see clubs like CNM , Ballingeary , uibh laoire and Ballyvourney now ahead of them .

Was at kilshannig CNM.
Draw a fair result.
Good physical game.
Both teams will probably think they could have won it.
That's CNM through bar a shock against na piarsuig where as kilshannig have a tough game to come against aghada.

Wind was a big factor as usual in donaghmore. Both teams nearly afraid to shoot at times.

Both will be happy enough overall but a lot to improve on.

Thought draw was fair result also cill Na matra seem to be in prime position to come good at the right time different to the last few years think they will peak at semis and final and that will eventually get them over the line
