Yeah they would have a reputation of being traditional, old school club - whatever happens on the field is fair game and you take it and dish it out but expected players to behave properly off the field!
Guess the lure of chasing a possible title in last couple of seasons proved too much for them!
Bit better than that but irrespective of quality, when a player is subject to these allegations and probability is that charges will follow (which was the case here), a top club generally run a mile to protect their own reputation.
Man City froze Mendy out when allegations were made against him...
Partey charged.

Bizzare that Arsenal continued to pay and play him when dogs on the street knew what was going on!
Haven't tuned in for a while but apparently this am on a piece re Roches Stores building, he referenced how Debenhams had closed and was not good how the workers were treated.
This a bugbear of Peej (*) but completely at odds with actual circumstances of the case. Liquidators of Debenhams acted...
It's like the lads you see on SM outlining what they believe should be the MU team for next season and there's about £400M spend included, before wages considered (and they have Onana and Casemiro on the bench)!!
How much beyond 16 are they? If 16-20, I'd say they'll be bored out of their skull with Crawford, UCC, etc. Hire a car and head down to Garrettstown for spot of surfing. Head for grub and few pints in The Speckled Door or Kinsale afterwards.
Just because he's off the booze doesn't mean he has to...
Bayern are guaranteed CL football every year. City close to it and have the funds to survive a year out of it anyway.
Bayern operate within their means. They were paying Lewandowski more up to the previous season when he went to Barca for £45m.
MU need to be aware of FFP rules. That EC defeat...
Very true - very young man probably looking forward to another few days of uninterrupted time with his young children before pre-season commences and then joining up with his teammates, living the dream of millions, playing football at elite level for a living and it's all gone in an instant.
What's the story with transfers? Focus is purely on hurling these days but seeing stuff about Diaz and Konaté leaving and Isak coming in...mostly from that Goldbridge Manu bloke that keeps popping up on Tiktok, even though my only interaction with him is lads on this forum venting their spleen...
Not sure will they even have the advantage at start of season. They'll have a compressed pre season after players come back from whatever bit of a break they're allowed. Modern clubs plan pre season to nth degree so players hit the ground running at start of new season.
Worse this year for Man...
It is but would have been ideal if they went all the way to final and then were beaten.
Guess they'll fly home from US today or tomorrow, have a break until 14th and then back for pre-season!!
That's a good article but issue needs to be addressed by clubs and Cork County Board.
"Maybe somebody at the meeting on July 1st will explain why Cork city, which contains most of the premier 1 clubs, didn’t have a single player on the Cork minor panel this season?"
This is excellent point...
