Can't remember the exact stats but it's been mentioned on some betting pods that I listen to, that first leg goals have fallen off a cliff since they scrapped it.

I gave up on the city game after 12 mins and turned off the Madrid game at HT.

This years competition has been shit.

The franchise should have won that over the two legs. Real very poor. Agreed on the away goals rule. It's not the same.

What reason did they give for abolishing the away goals rule? Just about every other rule change since Italia ‘90 has been about increasing open play, favouring attackers and scoring more goals. I could never figure why they nixed the away goals rule.

I think thats been shown to be complete bollocks.
