No one said it wasWas Cotter feeling his hamstring towards the end ? brillant dual player its not only the Barrs have them !
John Fitz's father from Killeagh so there may be a link there alright. Certainly had the same eye for goal anyway.
Pat Heffernan
That ye can in fairness, mad that he was floating about for 6 months or so with no club
Worrying times indeed. In both County finals, tough going alright .The Barrs Babes driving on on both fronts, fair fuckin play to them, two huge finals ahead for us now. Having a clear fortnight to the hurling final won’t help us, we’re not used to weekends off. Praying the injuries are not serious either. Worrying times for the Barrs Babes
A competitive guy like Ringy might have been tempted to take on more of a challenge, ie help the Barrs or the Rockies return to the top, but a meeting with Jack Lynch in town settled Christy’s mind on The Glen and the rest as they say is historyThe Glen had won the previous 7 counties in a row before Christy Ring, who as you say had no club, decided to throw his lot in with them. To be fair, where else would an ambitious hurler want to play for but with the all powerful and incredibly dominant Senior County Champions
Bit dramatic there Jim, Rob is a sprightly 40 I’d say, Micky Ryan was 18 in 93 so is 47 this year, he’s some manI see Robert o mahony and michael Ryan still playing with the Barrs, both closer to 50 than 40 is say,
