Ronnie is a one off, it’s not even a once in a generation thing. There has been great players, and lads who have clocked the titles up, but there has never been anyone with that level of raw ability and genius able to do it regularly.
Hendry, Davis and these lads all trained themselves to a point where they could always play the right shot at the right time and aligned it with serious safety games. Jimmy White, Alex Higgins etc all had the natural ability but couldn’t produce it regularly enough. Ronny can do it when he wants, despite himself, and with his left hand when he’s bored!
