I am very fortunate to live in a country that is magically spectacular and every day it is willing each of us to enjoy and appreciate life. It is this countryside from where I draw my main source of inspiration, and it’s a pleasure put into every stitch I make. The use of simple stitch and thread carries a strong element of meditation, with the needle symbolising the journey through every piece of textile I create. Natural dyeing using plant materials and rust objects is hugely important in some of the pieces I make. There is a constant source of inspiration and surprise from using these simple everyday objects.
