Ballyhooly Artist to Hold Solo Art Exhibition
in Fermoy in March
The coming month of March promises to be a busy period for Tom Leahy from Ballyhooly as he unveils a series of new paintings in his solo art exhibition at Blackwater Valley Makers in Fermoy.
Entitled ‘Trees of Life’ this latest exhibition features a series of original works focusing on one of Tom’s great passions; trees. “I spend a lot of my time trying to capture the beauty of our trees in all of their glory. For me, trees symbolize growth, life and hope. They are tranquil, mighty and still and these new paintings show my love of nature. Trees to me are a symbol of hope and they are central to our natural environment”.
The official opening of ‘Trees of Life’ by Tom Leahy takes place on Saturday afternoon, 2nd March at the Blackwater Valley Makers beautiful premises on McCurtain Street in Fermoy when Tom will be present to begin the display of these new paintings between 2pm and 5pm.
