The Leon Stax Equation are a brand new Soul and Funk band from Ireland??In 2022 Leon Stax released his album 'First Vibration' which was entirely recorded, mixed and mastered by Leon in his home studio. Still being the height of the pandemic live shows were not possible. In April 2023, he put together a band that shared his hunger to get in front of an audience.
Now fresh from a US tour this five-piece are putting their sounds out on the Irish music front and prioritizing connecting with an audience before all else.??The Leon Stax Equation features a powerful rhythm section of Leon on drums and Sam Wright on Bass. Sam is a highly accomplished Galway musician who has been a regular on the Irish circuit for the last 15 years with groups like My Fellow Sponges, Big Jelly and The Rains.
On guitar and backing vocals is featured the fantastically melodic and inventive Jack Sherrard, another Meath man and a graduate of BIMM with music in his blood.??Lastly
